Spontaneous Night in Chicago

by - 9:16 PM

Yesterdays weather was b-e-a-utiful in Milwaukee. 77 degrees! Came home from work, driving with the windows down and the sun shining. Aah, felt so nice. Everyone was out and about and we definitely were feeling the urge to get out too.

The choice was stay in and Spring Clean orrrr go out and do something active?

I think we'll save spring cleaning for another nice day. I got a message from my good friend Zandro over at Zandbox Photography about a car meet in Chicago. Now when people think of the car scene in Chicago, I think they see this:

And I'm here to tell everyone that it is not....only sometimes!

Watching the cars drive around and meeting all of the people there was a great experience. Everyone was so nice and welcoming - all around good fun.

Chicago shows us a little somethin' about burnouts.

Afterwards, Zandro and his friends took us out to eat at the CHI Cafe in Chinatown.

Where Zandro says he ALWAYS gets the Beef Brisket Noodle Soup.

I tried the Sizzling Beef with White Rice.

Chicago food is always surprisingly good and cheap. Total bill for our table of 5 people: $19.90! Then when we left, we strolled around Chinatown where the guys decided they wanted to try and climb onto the roof.

No success on the roof climbing but Zandro and I are always content when we get to eat in Chinatown! ^_^
