Sharing some photos for some living room inspiration. This is from Claudia and Merissa's Downtown Chicago apartment (my sister and her roommate). A while ago, we showed you how we styled Claudia's bedroom. They are in a high rise building with lots of natural light and floor to ceiling windows. They both lean towards a rustic style but with modern pieces. Merissa put together their living room design. We are loving the light colors, different textures and functionality of their living room!

We're sharing my sister, Claudia's, reading corner and bedroom makeover! She moved into this chic and modern downtown Chicago apartment earlier this year and requested our help in helping her design and put together her new bedroom. Her style is stylish, but very minimal. Rustic, but still girly and modern. We wanted to bring the outdoors in, so we installed a wall mural of the mountains overlooking a reflective lake. The hues of the wall mural add color to the space, the design is minimal, rustic, and stylish.
We employed the help of our brother and some friends to get the room put together. The space feels light, open, and airy, while still being cozy and warm. The wooden touches from the bed, nightstands, chair and bookshelf gives it the rustic feel. The warm colors and fuzzy textures gives it the coziness for cold Chicago days. While hues of beige and pink gives it that stylish and modern vibe.

Everything in the room is brand new. Here's a list of where we purchased each item:
- Bed - Wayfair
- Sheets and Pillows - Target
- Nightstand - Etsy
- Wallpaper - Etsy
- Chair - Homegoods
- Ottoman, chair pillow, blanket - Target
- Lamp - Target
- Ladder shelf - Kohl's
- Rug - Wayfair

Happy Decorating!

We made these really crafty looking wall-mounted planters and they turned out great for being a DIY project for under $10. We bought these tins for $1.50 each at Michael's craft store, we originally bought 2 tins to start off with but after making these, we were happy with how they turned out so much that we went back and bought 3 more. The tins originally looked like this...
