During our first full day spent in the Dells, we made sure to make a stop for lunch at MACS, a mac n cheese restaurant located in the Downtown Dells area. Everyone was pretty excited about this place; we spent all morning looking at drool-inducing photos from review sites! It was easy enough to find and we were worried that we might've had to wait for a table (for our group of over 10) but once we walked in, we were relieved to find that the place wasn't nearly as busy as we thought it would be and there was ample seating for us to push some tables together in the back. The restaurant style is exactly like Noodles & Co. or Panera Bread. You order food from the counter and seat yourself. There's self-service soda and iced tea, LOTS of Mac N Cheese options, as well as sandwich melts on the menu, and their desserts sound absolutely divine (salted caramel cheesecake? Hello!)...

After ordering, we didn't have to wait long for food to start arriving at the table. Between all of us, we pretty much had the menu covered. Photos of some of the ones we ordered:

The Memphis Mac n Cheese

Cheeseburger Mac

Buffalo Chicken Mac n Cheese

Jalapeno Popper Mac n Cheese

Our group also ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch Mac n Cheese and the Taco Mac (both not pictured). Everyone absolutely loved their food. Everything was beautifully presented and well-made. I also loved that each mac n cheese came with toasted slices of bread. Each dish was completely different from the next, yet built upon a classic American meal. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend MACS if you're ever in the Dells area. Check out the menu pics below.

Each dish comes in either of two sizes, "Regular" and "Mac Daddy" aka Small and Large. We all opted for the larger size for leftovers to microwave in the hotel later! Pretty much one of the only dishes I will ever actually look forward to reheating later. We've added MACS to our list of staple visits for future Dells trips.

- Happy Eating!
