Homemade Avocado Honey Face Mask (4-Ingredients)

the easiest and only homemade mask you will ever need

Today is #NationalSelfCareDay so I'm sharing quick fresh face mask recipe for you guys. This is my own recipe and it's tried and trusted. Hear me when I say, this one gives you immediate results! AND THE BEST PART: IT ONLY HAS 4 INGREDIENTS! Avocado, honey, greek yogurt, and tea tree oil. The natural oils in avocado deeply penetrate your skin to nourish it and hydrate it. With continued use, it can even prevent wrinkles and protect your skin against long-term stress and pollution. The honey has anti-bacterial and anti-septic qualities, is full of antioxidants, and binds the mask together. The greek yogurt contains lactic acid which is a compound that diminishes the appearance of wrinkles and large pores, it also works as a gentle exfoliator to brighten your skin. Last but not least, tea tree essential oil is an amazing natural remedy for acne, inflammation, redness and swelling. I like to call it Nature's Neosporin.

Homemade Avocado Honey Face Mask

  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp plain or vanilla greek yogurt
  • a few drops of Tea Tree oil
  1. Stir all ingredients together in a reusable container, and mash with a fork.
  2. Place in the fridge for 5 minutes.
  3. Apply a thick layer onto your face and neck.
  4. Gently apply a second and third layer.
  5. Let dry for 20-30 minutes and rinse off with a clean washcloth.
You can double the recipe to use a whole avocado. And keep the mask in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.

Trust, your skin will be feeling tight, bright, and so very smooth after using this mask. It's completely safe to use multiple times a week as well and if you leave it in the fridge for longer, it will feel like a cooling gel as you apply it. Don't forget to get all up in your eyebrows, your neck and it's totally okay if you get any in your hair or scalp. Often when applying masks, we neglect these areas and this mask is safe for all the sensitive areas.

Happy National Self Care Day!
